Brooke N The Nice Things are one of a kind and everyone at our wedding absolutely loved them! I’m a list guy so here is how I would "bucketize" our review of the undeniable BNTNT. Excited for whoever books them! - An incredible band that kept all generations on the dance floor all night: Our goal was to get everyone dancing (including the parents, grandparents, and kids!) and BNTNT's ability to touch every generation with flawless execution, incredible vocals, and nice/lovely stage presence was awesome. - Amazing set list Brooke and Steve would be the first to tell you they have and love soul music but they have a bunch of popular songs (i.e. no diggity, beyonce, amy winehouse, etc.) there was a great balance and flow to each of the three 5@ minutes sets . - Ability to learn songs for you: Also, they are willing to learn a few songs for you in addition to their setlist ... we chose Mirrors by JT (our wedding song actually), Beyonce - Love on Top, Lady Gaga - The Cure, Girl on Fire by Alicia Keys and 1 other I can't remember... talk about impressive! Every song sounded amazing! Professional musicians. Period. - Comments we heard throughout the night: "OMG, Brooke's voice is so amazing" ... "this band has this crowd in the palm of her hand" ... "I feel like this is a real band not a wedding band!" - Would we do it again? ... absolutely, 100%, no doubt, there is no other band that could have fit into our special day than Brooke and The Nice Things! They are INCREDIBLE! I highly, highly recommend. We heard this multiple times from friends / family at our wedding: "That's absolutely the best band I've ever heard at a wedding." Brooke is amazing. WOW! Where can we start with our love for Brooke and The Nice Things?! We saw them at our good friend's wedding a month after getting engaged, and even though we had nothing but our date selected, we knew we HAD to have them at our wedding! So much so that I stalked them down while they were eating their dinner...Steve could not have been sweeter about giving me his card and telling me to give them a call on Monday. Fast forward to a few months later when we began to actually plan our wedding: both Steve and Brooke were very responsive and helpful in making our vision come to life for our reception. And boy, did they deliver! From playing an INCREDIBLE walk out song for our wedding party, to a perfectly timed version of Stevie Wonder for my first dance with my dad, to hit after hit that kept our guests dancing all night long!! I can proudly say that we received SO many amazing compliments on our wedding bands, and this comes from a group of guests in their early 30s who pretty much attend weddings every weekend. If you and your significant other agree on ONE thing during your wedding planning, it will be locking down Brooke & The Nice Things for your reception :) Just kidding, you will agree on more than one thing but booking these guys will definitely be the highlight of your wedding. I first heard Brooke and the Nice Things perform at my friend’s wedding in 2015. Their performance and the dance floor that it inspired remains one of my favorite wedding memories -- and being 31 with a lot of married friends, I have a lot of wedding memories. When my now husband and I got engaged, the first thing we did was contact Brooke and the Nice Things. As a testament of our love for them, we planned our wedding date around their availability. We are so glad we did. Leading up to our wedding, Steve and Brooke were incredibly accommodating and easy to work with. They were able to personalize their setlist to match our music preferences and took care of the logistics related to performing in our challenging venue. On the actual wedding day, Steve (the band manager) saved the day multiple times by stepping in and becoming an impromptu emcee. When it was reception time, Brooke and the Nice Things blew us and all of our guests away. What completely amazing performers and musicians! They managed to bring out dance moves from our most reserved, oldest Aunts and Uncles to our hippest friends and cousins. Now when my husband and I reflect on the favorite memories of our wedding day, Brooke and the Nice Things are on the top of our list. -- Maggie
We had Brooke & The Nice Things perform at our wedding and they absolutely rocked it! They put on an amazing set ranging from Aretha, to Amy Winehouse, to Queen to Etta James. I couldn't imagine a better first dance with my new husband while Brooke belted out At Last and our guests cheered. We loved every minute and have had so many people reach out and tell us how amazing the band was. We've heard "best wedding band we've ever heard", "loved how they played Motown all night and didn't switch to the poppy stuff that kids like these days" and "how did you find them?!?". We were so happy to have Brooke & the Nice Things play at our son’s wedding on August 20th at our home in Lake Delavan. From the first minute that Brooke took the stage, everyone jumped on the dance floor. Let's say 125 people at all times. Brooke and her fabulous musicians brought their best game---best performance, unique and amazing sound and energy all night long. Booking Brooke & The Nice Things for our September 2017 wedding was one of the best decisions we made and one of the easiest parts of the planning process. We knew we didn't want a traditional wedding band. We wanted a band that was more unique, fun, and steered clear of cheesy wedding music. Brooke & The Nice Things completely nailed the vibe we were going for. Working with Steve and Brooke leading up to the wedding was seamless. They were very responsive and helpful every step of the way. They provided us with a list of songs and we selected the setlist. They also let us choose 5 songs outside of their list that they'd learn and play on our day. That was so above and beyond. We chose a first dance song they weren't familiar with but they learned it and killed it. Seriously. I have goosebumps now just thinking about how perfect it was. Brooke is an absolute star. And the band rocked it too-- you could tell they all wanted to be there and they made the party a blast. I would book them again in a heartbeat!! — Moira
First thing I want to say is that the wedding day occurred in a snowstorm. Brooke & The Nice Things showed up early with big smiles and lots of energy. When it came time to dance, they put on a show! Hi Steve -- I met you briefly this past Saturday at the Wisconsin wedding. First of all, let me say that Brooke and the Nice Things were absolutely INCREDIBLE!!
